As the tsunami death toll soars past the horrific number of 100,000, at least we find some consolation in the fact that this tragedy was an unavoidable, natural disaster. But according to a recent study by Johns Hopkins University, the US invasion of Iraq has resulted in 100,000 civilian deaths that otherwise would not have occurred. The vast majority of these deaths are the direct result of American and coalition military operations. And this carnage stems from the willfull, erroneous and intemperate decision of one man--whom Americans recently elected to a second term in the White House.
