Do those remaining 33 precent not drive cars?

Every time you talk to that 33% who still approves of Bush, ask them about Bush's response to soaring energy costs.
Crude oil prices hit a record $75 a barrel today. There is little doubt they will go higher, and surely reach catastrophic levels following any military action on Iran by either the U.S. or Isreal. Even the most die hard Bush supporter will realize this.
To the 33% who support Bush: "What is Bush doing TODAY to address this energy crisis?"
The answer, of course, is
nothing. After giving lip service to the importance of alternate energy sources in his state of the union address, and wagging his finger at America regarding a fact we've known
at least since President Carter pointed it out to us: America is addicted to oil.
With the price of gasoline affecting nearly every working American, and shortages looming large, a top priority for any competent administration would be to address this issue on a daily basis, with concrete steps to minimize the impact on consumers.
But Bush does nothing. And that is so telling.
It is telling because it shows he is either totally unfeeling for the realities of most Americans, who have to fill up their automobile to get to work rather than being airlifted by a taxpayer-supplied helecopter, or he is feeling but ineffective.
He either doesn't think anything can be done, i.e. incompetent and uninformed, or doesn't think anything should be done by the federal government, i.e. putting ideology above suffering ala Katrina.
Or perhaps he is just a crook, enjoying creating these high oil prices which enrich his political allies, fueling the fires by threating Iran with nukes, and not lifting a finger to help us domestically with the crisis because he is committed to keeping the prices as high as possible.
There just isn't an acceptable answer to this administrations lack of action to address these energy problems. And that is the question you should ask the 33%:
"Is he incompetent or malicious? And why would you approve of either?"
