Kos' post about the polls of the effectiveness of Bush's ads so far points up what I think would be a very effective strategy for the Kerry campaign. Most of the people polled thought the Bush ads were too complicated, had too many points to try to follow, and came away without having "learned" what the ads were trying to say.
I think one of the best ways to drive home the overriding truths about Bush's presidency is to use some ads that are as simple as possible, just plain black text on a plain white background, with facts (citing sources of course) that "George Bush promised his tax cuts would produce millions of new jobs, and instead we now have millions fewer jobs in this country." or "Bush said he wanted to know the truth about 9/11, but refuses to sit down with the investigative panel for more than one hour. He said he wanted to get to the bottom of the outing of a covert CIA agent, but did everything possible to thwart the investigation of that crime."
What do you think, is this a good way to go after Bush by making it easy for viewers to understand the real issues?
