Top Kerry '04 and Gore 2000 Fundraisers Sign Up
Washington, DC -- Today, Donnie Fowler, candidate for Democratic National Committee Chairman, announced the leadership of his National Finance Team. Former Kerry/Edwards '04 Western Finance Chairman Mark Gorenberg, Kerry/Edwards '04 New York Finance Chairman Hassan Nemazee, Gore 2000 Victory Fund Chairman Mitchell Berger and South Carolina Democratic fundraiser Marie-Louise Ramsdale will serve as co-chairs.
Also joining the Fowler Campaign as National Finance Directors are former Kerry/Edwards '04 National Finance Director (East) Stephanie Berger and former Wesley Clark presidential campaign Mid-Atlantic Finance Director Rachel Hirschberg. Former Clark campaign Midwestern Finance Director David Rosen will also serve on the committee.
"Raising money will be an essential part of my job as chairman of the Democratic Party," Donnie Fowler said today. "The leadership of this team and the efforts of the thousands of individual donors who give money through the Internet will be crucial as we change our party so Democrats can win again."

Mark Gorenberg was the Western Finance Chair for John Kerry for President and has been a longtime fundraiser and donor to the Democratic National Committee. Currently a partner at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Mr. Gorenberg has spent over 20 years in software development and has been a software manager in both large corporations and entrepreneurial environments. Prior to joining Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, he was a Senior Software Manager in advanced product development at Sun Microsystems. Mr. Gorenberg is also a member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Corporation (Board of Trustees).
Mitchell Berger was a top fundraiser for Vice President Al Gore's 200 presidential campaign and has been a long time Democratic donor and fundraiser. Based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Mr. Berger founded the Berger Singerman law firm in 1985, currently serves as Chairman. He has been active in public affairs at the national, state and local levels and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Student Loan Marketing Association from March, 1994 to July 2001 serving as the Chairman of the Board after his appointment by President Clinton in 1998. In addition, Mr. Berger has served on numerous boards and commissions, including as a Commissioner on the Florida Environmental Commission.
