Let's see what the other side has to say:
Some on here, well those on the left, have accused President Bush of being cold and callus for going through with his schedule the other day. My question is what should he have done? Sat in front of a T.V. and watched the coverage on the news? And what good would that have done (other than causing those on the left to criticize him for watching T.V.)? Or maybe he should sat with members of his cabinet and wonder with the rest of the country about how bad it was going to get (and leaving the door wide open again for critics on the left).
So what does all this mean? What does this all boil down to? One thing, the left hates President Bush and will go after the smallest thing to try and bring him down. As I have stated before in another thread, he could have been right in the middle of the storm with everyone else over there, and he would have been accused of being there for a photo-op.
Instead of letting outside forces dictate his actions, President Bush did what should have been done, lead. He went on with his schedule instead of jumping off the deep end before all the facts were in. He let the people that were, and still are, conducting rescue efforts do their job. Sometimes being a leader means, letting people do their job without getting in the way. This is one of those times. Those that were already on the ground, had the best picture of what was going on, and what needed to be done, and he let them do what they had to.
Last year President Bush came down here to Florida to help in hurricane relief. He was helping to hand out supplies, and gave words of encouragement to those affected by the storm, and those helping in cleaning up. And what did the left have to say about that? He was just there for a photo-op. The left knows no shame when it comes to bashing President Bush.
But tell me, where are those leaders from the left? If they are going to cry foul, and throw a fit, then shouldn't they do something? But that's the mode of operation for the left, throw out blame, but have no solution or plan of action of their own. "What you are doing is not good enough. But don't ask me to come up with a solution, that's your job, and we are only going to criticize it once you do the work and come up with a plan." That is your typical liberal.
So, what do I have to say to those on the left that have been making fun of President Bush for going on with his day? Shut up and let the man do his job, as he has been doing. You have no plan. You have nothing to offer. Just shut up.
Signed,
Wingnut.
