I am a Bunny.

My name is Nicholas.
I live in a hollow tree.

Yes, I am hastening the mockery of the 'I am a...' diaries so they will become uncool. What's your favorite kid's book? I am partial to anything illustrated by Richard Scarry, Eloise Wilkin and Garth Williams. My 7 month old likes 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?' but I think its a snoozer.

I'll use the rest of this diary to discuss the roll-eating shit episode from yesterday. This has probably already been discussed here, but I found my favorite assessment of his remark from Ezra Klain via Atrios yesterday. I think we did indeed get a rare glimpse into the mind of BushCo regarding foreign policy. The media focused on the 'shit' (GASP! HORROR!) but the REAL story is what was said. Also, Jon Stewart makes a great point that at least he was on topic, and not making a remark about Merkel's camel toe. I can honestly say this is the proudest I have ever been of W! Sniff!
From Ezra Klein:
Given the relative opacity of Bush's thoughts on the situation, the frank discussion offered a fair amount of insight and a couple nuggets of news, including that he was going to send Condi to the region (or possibly the UN -- but she's going somewhere to deal with this), that he blamed neither Israel nor Lebanon for the violence, and that "the irony is what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it's over." That's a big deal: Bush believes it within the Syrian government's power to calm the conflict. Theoretically, that should have major implications for American diplomacy and, possibly, policy...,
Bush also does not understand irony, like so much Alanis.
I'd be curious to see how the Wingnuttia is reacting to the G8 summit (I do not give Freepers, et al web hits). In my opinion this is one of the nakedest examples of Dear Leader's awkwardness that we have been exposed to in a long while. From Putin's zinger to the roll chompin', it was a profound embarressment soup to nuts.
So let's discuss kid's books, the G8, and Freeper reaction in this thread. Let's do!
