It seems like there are two major primary strategies that I hear on this blog a lot:
1. Divide and conquer----keep Dean's opponents around as long as possible, so they split the "anti-Dean" vote.
That way, Dean has a plurality in every state.
2. Get 'em out fast-----if Dean only had one or two opponents, he'd have fewer people to worry about (the chances of being nominated increasing) and could focus his $$$ and attention.
