This Duke rape farce is sickening, democrats in North Carolina blew this again by overplaying the race card. I am afraid it will hurt democrats in the long run.
Based on all the evidence or non-evidence, we can conclude the stripper is a lying liar.
There is no DNA evidence, no rape, no sex!
There are tons of evidence to prove the indicted players' innocence.
The District Attory, Mike Nifong, a democrat, is a complete jerk.
Attorney: No Plea Deal for Duke Player
A member of the defense team, who also spoke on condition of anonymity because the defense is working with players who could still be indicted, showed photos to the AP on Wednesday that show the accuser on the back porch of the off-campus house, with her clothing intact. She is smiling and looking through her purse.
The defense team member said the digital photos were taken at 12:30 a.m., citing an electronic time-stamp known as metadata. Such time-stamps are not visible on the photos. They are created, though, when digital photos are taken.
The accuser, a 27-year-old student at a nearby college, told police she was attacked by three white men at a house where she and another woman were hired to dance at a lacrosse team party. According to defense attorneys, DNA tests conducted on all the players failed to connect any of the team members to the alleged rape.
"I would have to say she is definitely making it up," Cotter said.
Key Evidence Supports Alibi in Potential Rape Defense for One Indicted Duke Player
Seligmann's argument is simple: He is innocent and he has an alibi. He attended the party that night, but documents, photos and witness testimony show that he wasn't there long enough or at the right time to attack the alleged victim.
Around midnight the night of March 13, Seligmann was already at the party when two women hired from a local escort agency arrived to dance for the boys -- $400 each for a two-hour performance. A series of time-stamped photographs viewed by ABC News show the girls dancing at midnight and at 12:02 a.m.
By 12:24 a.m., a receipt reviewed by ABC indicates that Seligmann's ATM card was used at a nearby Wachovia bank. In a written statement to the defense also reviewed by ABC, a cabdriver confirms picking up Seligmann and a friend a block and a half from the party, and driving them to the bank. By 12:25 a.m., he was making a phone call to a girlfriend out of state.
What did Seligmann do after leaving the bank? The taxi driver remembers taking him to a drive-thru fast-food restaurant and then dropping him off at his dorm. Duke University records show that Seligmann's card was used to gain entry at 12:46 a.m.
In addition to bolstering Seligmann's alibi, the taxi driver's written testimony provided a rare glimpse of color in an otherwise darkened night.
"I remember those two guys starting enjoying their food inside my car, but I'm glad I end up with a nice tip and fare $25," the taxi driver said in his testimony
Instead of purusing the fact, The D.A., Mike Nifong of Durham County, N.C., may have other agenda on his mind.
Politics Playing Role In Duke Case?
D.A. Mike Nifong of Durham County, N.C., a Democrat, faces a challenge in a primary next month whose winner is virtually certain to go on to victory in the general election since no Republican is running for the seat.
The dancer, who is black, charges that three white members of the lacrosse team assaulted her at an off-campus party a month ago. Defense attorneys say there have been no matches in tests done on DNA samples taken from almost all of the team's players. No one has been charged in the case, but Nifong insists it's not over.
The case has heightened racial tensions in the Durham area, and drawn attention to what many in the community view as the elitist aura surrounding the school.
At a democratic forum, Nifong's foes in the primary fired away.
"Perhaps he thought that he had landed a case that would save his prosecutorial career," asserted Freda Black.
"It casts a long shadow over the integrity of your administration of this case," Keith Bishop said.
But Nifong insisted his intentions are honorable, saying: "I am not going to allow Durham's view in the mind of the world be a bunch of lacrosse players from Duke raping a black girl in Durham."
Irving Joyner, a law professor at North Carolina Central University, where the alleged victim is a student, says Nifong made this case too public, too soon.
"When it's tried," Joyner told Regan, "there'll be very few people who will have not heard about the case, making an impartial jury selection almost impossible."
And, Regan points out, with so many people in this community convinced of the Duke players' guilt, despite the DNA tests, some believe Nifong has no choice but to move forward.
Bill Thomas, a lawyer for one of the players, says: "There seems to be a rush to judgment in this case. There seems to be a rush to indictment in this case."
This jerk is an embarrassment. The stupid local NACCP and Jackson have also jumped into this farce.
Community leaders and NAACP activists welcomed the news that Durham police early Tuesday had arrested and charged two Duke University lacrosse players in connection with an alleged gang rape, saying the move finally would allow the legal process to move forward.
At a morning news conference, state NAACP President William Barber said his group would monitor the work of investigators and prosecutors as the case against lacrosse players Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann moves forward.
Barber said the allegations against the pair "suggest a downward spiral from privilege and advantage to decadence and deviance."
...
John Bennett, a local minister who's organized weekly protests outside the North Buchanan Boulevard house that was the scene of the alleged rape, said he believes the arrests came weeks later than they would have with black suspects.
...
NCCU Chancellor James Ammons said he and his staff also would "do everything we can to support" the 27-year-old alleged victim, who's a student there.
Stupid comment, she is NOT a victim but a liar.
So sad, those democrats blew this again.
