Anti-equal rights California State Senator's gay son
marries boyfriend of 10 years. Oh yeah, the senator was the one who authored the dubiously "legal" prop 22.
This must be a sad moment for both father and son.
The son married without his father in attendence. Marriage is such a monumental event in a person's life I can only imagine the pain he must be going through to not only be rejected by his father but to have the person he loves most in this world also be rejected.
The father must bear the shame of knowing he raised his son wrong, after all no Upstanding Son of a Senator could ever be a queer lover.
On a more serious note I find it pathetic that families don't support each other even when they disagree like this. If my kids (whom I don't have yet) wanted to marry somebody of whom I did not approve I would still attend their wedding.
I have very little respect, if any, for people who would reject their children in such a way. There's a special level of hell resevered for people like you; it has child molesters and people who talk too loud in the theater. (kudos if you recognize the reference)
I apologize for the grammar and diction I hope you got my point ok.
