Robert Pirsig, in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, noted that the scientific method need NOT generate solutions, but only more questions. Thus, the endless and ever extending fractal discussions of the failure of the B--h administration, which has set the country back 20 years.
It is a failure. And it is a trick to ask a person to "count the ways."
Once a sultan wished to reward a citizen for his labors and the citizen said "only place on grain on the first square of the board, 2 on the second, 4 on the third, and so on, and I will be happy". The sultan beamed at the simplicity of the request, and began the process. Needless to say he did NOT get to 2 to the 64th grains of wheat before he realized he'd been had and ended the problem swiftly by sweeping the life of the peasant from the planet.
Thus are we engaged by attempting to answer one foolish question when two more will take its place: there is no end to a conversation with a fool.
Enough.
The solution: simply accept that we have NO president at all. But we will select one in November. If we as a nation fail again, we may find we have NO nation at all.
