Over the years, Republicans have gotten away with some pretty terrible things: they've used fear to win elections, they've argued that people who disagree with the war in Iraq are comforting the terrorists, they've repeatedly sided with big corporations over us--and the list goes on. Now it's clear that Americans are fed up with their corrupt style of government and poll after poll shows that voters are ready for change this November. That's why we're launching a campaign to show how popular opposition to Republican rule in Washington really is.

To participate, all you have to do is order a sticker and put it on your car, or some other highly visible place.

IMO it's a good sticker, too. it says:

You can even get them in bulk for as little as 25 cents each...

For a donation of $3 or more we'll send you a pack of 10 stickers, and for a donation of $25 or more we'll send you a pack of 100 stickers -- then you can give them away to your friends to take our message even further. Will you help spread our message by taking a free bumper sticker?

I'd like to see these babies plastered up everywhere, so I'm going to buy 100 of 'em and give 'em away to anyone I meet in person who will put one on their car!

    Going to plaster all kinds of SUV's and Trucks in my neighborhood. Just kidding.  

    One of the best places to place these things is on the back of signs in left turn lanes at busy intersections.  All the cars waiting to turn left get to view this for up to a couple of minutes while stuck in traffic.  Another good place would be on actual gas pumps, but that could get you in trouble, so you're on your own with that suggestion.

  •  Anybody wonder whether the cache of MoveOn.org (0+ / 0-)

    Is a positive or a negative?  This election is in large measure about winninng the middle of the road voter  . ..  does plastering the world with MoveOn.org stickers help or hurt?  I think it may not be helpful honestly.  I mean I am getting tired of them calling my house asking me to phone bank and host parties . .  . if I was an independent or a moderate Republican type, I might even get pissed.

    Not saying that it is a bad thing.  I just wonder if it might be too much.

      is portrayed as a boogie man by the righties, just like all our organiztions are. The OBJECT of the election is to get our base out! There is only a myth of a large middle of the road voter. most "independent" voters vote a straight party line ticket.  Anyone who is middle of the road is not going to vote for the incompetance they've witnessed over the last 6 years, so they will be in the D column this year.

      you can trim off the bottom of the sticker, removing the moveon reference.

      I agree that their name has baggage.

      It also gives people a place to go for more information, so who knows which would be better.

      I guess I would come down on the side of leaving the MoveOn part intact, because the sentiment on the sticker is mainstream, even if the name MoveOn means "liberal" to many people. Maybe they'll start to realize that "liberal" IS mainstream.
