Joe Lieberman, Calling In Sick (UPDATED)

The Lamont Team has just released a really great new radio ad, that simply has to be heard to be believed.  It's hilarious.  The premise is Joe Lieberman calling in sick to the senate, with a gaggle of different cockamamie excuses, unable to vote.

I think it's a very hard-hitting ad that deals effectively with the important subject of Joe's chronic vote-skipping.  As an added bonus, it's very funny too.  I'm impressed.  Please check it out!

•  Ridicule is better than outrage

  I wish it weren't so, but sincere outrage loses to ridicule every time.  We need to become the masters of employing ridicule as a weapon.  They've been doing it to us for a long time, and being the sincere issue-oriented types that we are, we don't realize how deblitating and diminishing it is.

  Even a term like "tree-hugger" is a diminishment.

  This ad was fantastic.  Creative, funny, and I'm willing to bet it will be quite damaging to Lieberman...especially if the ad is run on FM radio.
