In support of Chairman Conyers I wrote the WaPo.

Re: Dana Milbanks "Democrats Play House To Rally Against the WarDemocrats Play House To Rally Against the War" piece.
It has been suspected by most thinking people that over the last 4-5 years the current administration had co-opted the major media organs of the country. Dana Milbank's piece confirms this. The question that is nagging most of us out here in the real world is, those of us who really have to deal with the effects of this administration's policies, what can the WaPo, MSNBC, CNN, NYT, etc. be getting out of this? It can't be just the money. Is it the fact that by pimping your paper and the other MSM outlets you get a thrill by aiding and abetting the lies that come out of the beltway? You people really can't believe what you write, do you?"
"Milbanks' piece was so overtly onesided it cannot possibly be considered journalism, can it? I have read the piece and have read CHAIRMAN Conyers' reply to the WaPo. How is it that the editorial staff lets Milbanks off with not even providing his readers with the context of the DSM, or of the events surrounding the location of the hearing that was held to discuss it? I guess that you are not really interested in Informing your customers. Maybe you just want to shape the way they think about things. Hey. Thats what its all about these days isn't it?
If I were to go back and delve into the WaPo archives regarding Monica Lewinski I wonder how many times I would come across the phrase "high crimes and misdemeanors"? Now, the illustrious WaPo has no stomach to pursue such investigations when all the evidence is right in front of you. Here's a secret that you guys and gals may not know yet: THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS BUSH IS A LIAR. By printing blatantly biased articles like Milbanks does nothing for the reputation of the WaPo.
I guess this was a long way of saying that I found Milbanks article intellectually offensive. Forgive me for not getting to the point earlier.
I will be posting this letter on DailyKos and will be encouraging others to do so also. And, though I don't have a subscription to the WaPo I will discourage others from subscribing to it. "
