Another Monadnock area police enforcement
technique was shot down.
First they tried to criminalize civil conduct by charging undocumented workers with criminal trespass. That failed, as I predicted, after meeting with lead counsel.
Next, they charged me with felony extortion for writing a Demand Letter to Jaffrey Police Chief Dunn and "threatening" to call a press conference about police abuse. That case is in a shambles, Dunn faces Defamation charges & was ordered to provide his discipline record to the Criminal Court.
Last came a series of police cameras up in Bellows Falls, VT (35 miles from Jaffrey) to monitor all of the 3,500 citizens using a $98,000.00 federal grant. Townspeople slammed it as national media referenced the area as "Mayberry".
One U.S. soldier said: (page A2)
"Could it be that the cameras may be used as an entrapment tool while officers lay in wait at the department to monitor closed-circuit cameras being able to stage an ambush, so to speak? Don't court orders have to be approved in order to have close surveillance of places and people? This would have been the largest and most permanent sting operation ever to date. Whatever the motive was to have the cameras installed is very weak.
I took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States and protect it from all enemies foreign and domestic. I believe that this idea is an extreme invasion of privacy. Bellows Falls is not a prison, foreign border or bank, nor did the proposal deter against any type of Homeland Security threat."
As I point out in this morning's blawg entry, a Caucasian male following my case informed me of this situation because he was disgusted with the fact that I am under indictment for pointing out police abuse.
Kossacks better watch out, because Big Brother is going to be in your backyard before you know it. It is indeed part of a master plan, as Justice O'Connor even points out.
Speaking of Civil Liberties, it looks like my lawyers and I are off to the NH Supreme Court. Issues pertaining to the surveillance file that Chief Dunn has on me, and the missing exculpatory email chain that both of his lawyers have had for a year now (but never produced to me) has been set off to 18 April. Which is after my criminal trial.
Good thing I know yoga, so I can touch my toes.
