Get it while it's available: a supporter of recently departed US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton recorded a conference call he did with AIPAC, which is currently leading the charge for war with Iran. You can download it here.
The blogger who made the recording apparently had a transcript up earlier, but took it down. The MP3 of the audio is still up, though, so go over and download it while it's still available.
The first ten minutes is pretty innocuous, dealing with the new UN Secretary General, but the rest of it deals with Hizbullah, Iran, etc. When they get to questions from AIPAC members at the end, you can hear the bigotry against Muslims, with one caller questioning whether we should have a Muslim as UN ambassador (the new Bush appointee, Khalilzad, is a secularized nominal Sunni). At the end, the person coordinating the call mentions the AIPAC policy conference coming up in Washington DC March 11-13, which is clearly going to be used to lobby the new Democratic majority on Capitol Hill to promote war with Iran.
If you are interested in the behind the scenes access and influence AIPAC has, definitely download the call and share it on your own blogs. It will probably be taken down within a few hours.
Only in America can an organization which was recently investigated for espionage by two of its top staffers get such access to someone who recently served as UN ambassador, and who still has access at the highest levels of the Bush administration.
If we're going to head off war with Iran, you all need to get active and call your congressmen and senators, and demand that they listen to the majority of the American people, not the swarm of AIPAC folks who are going to descend on them in two months time.
