Conservative logic, if that it can be called, has never been easy to follow. These are the same people that tell us we can reduce a deficit by cutting taxes and increasing spending wildly. They told us Hillary Clinton was a militant lesbian man hating bitch, who had a torrid affair with Vince Foster. Now our friends are at it again with the Iraq War debate. After years, (decades actually) of branding Democrats as "soft on defense) and not caring about America's security, they seem to want us to take the lead in coming up with a plan for the Iraq war. It's making my head spin.
Here are a few questions that the GOP'ers who keep chanting "Where's the Democratic plan for Iraq?" should be asked:
- You say that Democrats don't support the miliary. Why do you want a military plan from someone who doesn't support them?
- You approve of the job Bush is doing in Iraq? Why do you want a new plan?
- What part of the Constitution makes the majority party in Congress commander in Chief of the Armed forces?
- You say we can't be trusted with the nation's security. You also say this war is vital to it. Why do you want a plan on this war on something so important from someone who can't be trusted.
- Bush said he's the "Decided." Hasn't he already decided what to do in Iraq?
- When did you ever listen to Democratic plans or advice on anything before?
- You've mocked people like John Murtha, when they've spoken out on the war and their viewpoin now represents the majority view of the Democratic party. Why should we cooperate with you?
I am sure that there are more you can think of, but you get the idea.
