If I hear the Child King talking about this one more time I'm just about going to go postal. It makes me sick.
The president also said the United States will hold the Iraqi government to its pledge to take responsibility for security in all of Iraq's provinces by November, pass legislation to share oil revenues among all Iraqis and spend $10 billion of its own money on reconstruction that will create new jobs.
I'm sorry, but the rising chorus of whining about the Iraqis failing to take responsibility for the security of their own country is just plain pathetic - especially because it's coming from Democrats and Republicans alike. All our so-called leaders are jumping on the bandwagon, declaring through both sides of their mouths that the stupid, lazy, no-account Iraqis need to pull themselves up by their goddamn bootstraps and get things back on track.

Think of it this way:
A bunch of thugs slam into your house and blow the shit out of everything. They trash the whole place. They kill half your family. They destroy your plumbing. They rip out your electricity. They put armed guards in every room. And then they start bitching because you're not doing enough to clean up the fucking mess they're still making.
You know, this has gotten to be a bad habit of the United States of America. It was only a 150 years ago when this country was pulling the same shit with African slaves. First you catch them and then you chain them and then you beat the crap out of them and then you sell them and then you whip them and then you deprive them and then you abuse them and then you refuse to educate them and then you whine about why they aren't educated and why they don't have jobs and why they're poor.
And before all that, we did it to the Native Americans.
If this country had any decency, our leaders would be on their knees, apologizing to Iraqis, African Americans, Native American, and every one else in the world for our arrogance and stupidity. We can never repay the debts we owe for the damage we have caused - and the truth is, we're barely even trying.
