I visited MSNBC.com at approximately 8:40pm PST. The front page carried a story about mental health resources for American troops. When I clicked on the page, I was directed AWAY from MSNBC to a negative editorial about MSNBC Editor-in Chief Jerry Nachman on http://www.sharkonline.org/...
The link is now fixed.
I viewed the source of MSNBC's page, where the link is referred to in the image map here:
<area coords="0,0,370,180" shape="rect" alt="DON’T ASK, DON’T GET -- Better mental health help needed for Iraq troops, medical chief says " href="http://msnbc-editor/16713999">...
http://msnbc-editor/... Hmmm.
I had clicked on the story in both Firefox and IE7 with the same results. Again, it seems to have been fixed now. It was incorrectly redirecting to the above site for about 10 minutes, that I am aware of.
I still have the windows up so I can add screenshots.
I'm totally unfamiliar with big media celebs, so I was surprised to learn that Jerry Nachman died in 2004. January 19, 2004 to be precise. Why would someone hack a site to post a negative message about someone who left this world on this date 3 years ago?
