In 2008 we will have lived through 20 years of rule by two families in this country. Isn't it about time for someone else? This doesn't even include four years of Daddy Bush as VP. We have four years of H.W. Bush, followed by eight years of William Jeferson Clinton, followed by eight years of Shrub. Twenty years is enough already!
As much as I like and admire Hillary, this country doesn't need four to eight years more of a two family dynasty rivalry. I really don't care about the fine qualities Hillary brings to the table. I want, no, need a change. It's time to let the Bushes' and Clinton's fall into the history books and move on to another era.
Here in Nevada, we are going to be a new voice on the national Democratic nomination path in 2008. By being the second caucus after Iowa in 2008, we Nevadans will have a greater impact on the ultimate primary winner then ever before. All that being said, I'm going to work my damndest for any eventual nominee, but my heart says it's time to move on. By the way, it's Nevada as in Nev Ad a, as in And, not Ne vod A, as in Ohm. Just a silly little affectation we like to point out much the same as "frisco" grates on the nerves of those of us who have lived or still live in San Francisco.
