We all make decisions that influence our future.
The decisions we make are based on the information we have.
Where do we get our information from?
I recently heard someone say that the rate of smoking is going down and it has something to do with the fact that television and movies are no longer showing people smoking. This person then said that it should also be regulated for the people in television and movies to eat healthy foods.
Can we make it so we only see people who eat healthy foods when we watch television and movies?
It is possible.
When we watch television, we never see soldier's coffins because that decision has been made. We rarely see local programming because that decision has been made. We rarely see programs from other countries because that decision has been made.
Some people think it is crazy that healthy eating habits should be regulated and shown on television.
Some people only want the market to determine what is shown on our media. However, by making the decision that the market should regulate what is shown on television, fast food companies can pay for commercials and product placements.
So while some people think it is crazy to promote healthy eating habits according to medical values, they have no problem if companies promote fatty foods according to economic values.
What we see and hear all comes down to how the decisions are made and who is making them.
