WaPo has a short article about Dubya and George I:
It seems that former president George H.W. Bush has been getting agitated watching all the attacks on his son -- so much so that the current president said yesterday that he is worried for his father's well-being.
It's a tragic situation, we're supposed to understand. Get out your handkerchiefs when you hear what Dubya has to say about his daddy:
"I am actually more concerned about him than I have ever been in my life, because he's paying too much attention to the news,"
Well, let me tell you what happens to my dad when he watches the news:
- My dad gets upset that Dubya is running this country into the ground
- My dad is infuriated that this insane war continues and that so many lives continue to be lost
- My dad burns with indignation when he sees the Bushies turning our government into Big Brother
- My dad is disgusted when he watches about the willful neglect of New Orleans and everyone else who isn't wealthy enough to be Dubya's base
- My dad despairs about the people of this country and how we all are being bankrupted by the clowns at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
- My dad wants to know why this congenital idiot and his cronies haven't yet been frog-marched out of the White House
Well, it's OK if my dad gets angry. Let us all get angry.
But if the Chimp is afraid of his daddy's anger, if he doesn't want his daddy to get a little upset watching people attacking his son, let said son resign and leave public life altogether. Then the father can watch the rest of us clean up the mess his son left behind.
Or I suppose we all could just shut up and go away because we're so, so, worried about the man who raised George W. Bush to be the unmitigated disaster that he is.
Your choice.
