It is no exaggeration to state that Senator Clinton's detractors outnumber her supports by a wide margin at this site. Indeed, there are more diaries dedicated to trashing her here than there are to supporting any other candidate. Diaries actually supporting or praising her are non-existant.
The proprietor of this site has himself placed himself firmly into the ABC (Anybody But Clinton) camp, as far as primaries are concerned.
Let's be frank--her getting the Democratic nomination would be a disaster for this place. The notion that a candidate needs to reach out to the Netroots would receive a near-fatal blow. Senator Clinton's campaign operation is already incredibly well-organized and funded, and would have no need of netroots money or bodies. Not that the folks denouncing her as a DLC DINO AIPAC CORPORATE SELLOUT WHORE would be able to flip the switch and rally around her once she did become the nominee in any event. DailyKos would be marginalized.
So, I propose we reach out to our natural allies--those dead-set against Hillary Clinton's electoral success and for whom her election would be a disaster.
The details of my plan below the fold.
Where this site can be most useful in defeating Senator Clinton is by spreading damaging and unflattering stories about her.
As we all know, the dreaded MSM is in her pocket (after all, they both serve the same CORPORATE AIPAC MASTERS). Indeed, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN will all be obstacles to our effort. ABC will only be marginally useful.
So, we must think outside the box and forge temporary alliances with those who have not been coopted by the DLClinton machine.
First, we must reach out to allies in the blogosphere who would eagerly help us in damaging Senator Clinton. These sites include:
Redstate
The Free Republic
Little Green Footballs
Instapundit
Townhall.com
Hugh Hewitt
The National Review Online
Michelle Malkin
Of course, the goal of working with these sites is to launch damaging stories about Senator Clinton into national consciousness. To do that, we still need the broadcast and print media. So, while our primary relationship should be with the above-mentioned websites, we should also develop a working relationship with:
Fox News
The New York Post
The Washington Times
The Wall Street Journal editorial page
The process is simple--we just circulate damaging stories about Senator Clinton between ourselves and the above-mentioned websites, until they create so much Internet buzz that Fox News or the New York Post run with the stories. When people scratch their heads and ask if the stories are the product of right-wing bias, Mr. Hume of Fox News can point out that it was those wacky leftists at Daily Kos who promoted the story.
Of course, we can't actively cooperate on all kinds of stories. We can jointly promote only stories about corruption, character deficiencies, indecisiveness, weakness, or baby-eating. In contrst, when Little Green Footballs and Fox News try to portray Senator Clinton as weak on terror and not tough enough to defend our nation, we can't come out and agree with them. Instead, we should just keep silent.
Not that folks around here are going to leap out of their seats to defend Senator Clinton when the rightwing noise machine does attack her. Especially after we will have been trashing her for the 18 months leading up to the convention.
What say you?
