The vice president agreed that the earth is warming but maintained there is debate over whether humans or natural cycles are the cause — a position that puts the administration at odds with the vast majority of climate scientists.

This continues the White House parade of climate change denial that puts the Bush administration and his team of sandy headed ostriches even more at odds with fellow Republicans
The irony is that the White House, while it is important for them to get it in gear and start taking the climate change science seriously, doesn't seem to matter as much as it used to on the battle to reduce US carbon emissions. Cities and States are taking the matter into their own hands and are taking the leadership role that Bush and Cheney refuse to take.
