Disclaimer: I'm an Edwards supporter.
Second disclaimer: I'm not here to promote Edwards at this time, I'm here to promote fighting bigotry of the worst kind.
Whether you think the Edwards Camapign response to the abhorrent slur by Ann Coulter was right, wrong, enough, not enough is your privelege. I'm not here to discuss that.
Let's discuss the real issue: bigotry.
Ann Coulter not only insulted John Edwards, she insulted gays, lesbians, and anyone "different" from her wingnut pals.
Mitt Romney had a golden opportunity to act like a true presidential contender by standing up and decrying Coulter's slur. He didn't.
I went to Coulter's website this morning with the goal of finding her blog advertisers so I could link them to a diary here, thinking we could "pile on" them in protest of her remark. Amazingly, before I could do the links, Honda and Verizon ads disappeared. Unlike the Rethug wingnuts, they did stand up and pulled their ads.
The way to hurt Coulter and her ilk, and to cause them to stop the hate speech is through their pocketbooks. It's the only way.
C'mon Kossacks, let's get creative here. We have a huge voice and rather than arguing we have an opportunity to strategize and put these hate mongers on notice.
How about it?
