The St. Paul DFL (the Democratic Party here in Minnesota) held caucuses last night, and included a Presidential straw poll. The results were interesting - check below the fold to see how your favorite candidate did.
The straw poll is a non-binding measure that simply allows caucus-goers to express a preference ahead of any actual votes. Minnesota Monitor covered the results live - so what was the big surprise?
* Clinton - 324
* Obama - 323
* Undecided - 207
* Edwards - 176
* Richardson - 115
* Kucinich - 77
* Gore - 31 He wasn't actually on the ballot and didn't get seperated out in all the wards
* Clark - 17
* Biden - 13
* Dodd - 6
* Vilsack - 4
* Gravel - 0 yep he got fewer votes than MacGuyver!
* MacGuyver - 1
Obama supporters have been on the ground organizing for this straw poll for some time now, and if it weren't for MacGuyver (sp?) getting a vote, it might have been a spot-on tie between Obama and Clinton.
