So, today I got my Girl Scout Cookie order. I got a box of sugar-free brownies, and I also bought a box of Thin Mints as part of the effort to feed our troops.
You know how the annual springtime office blackmail scheme works: the boss' kid comes by wearing the sash and bearing the full-color order form. This year, however, I'm glad to do my part.
The Girl Scouts are sponsoring a program called "Operation Thin Mint 2007." You buy a box of Thin Mints (and really, the rest of the cookies are forgettable anyway), and the Girl Scouts send it to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is a great thing, and I hope that all of you have sent Thin Mints to the troops as well.
It is sad that we have come to this. Our troops are having to make do with tainted food and unsafe water, all provided by Haliburton. We're running out of troops, so now we have to send in the Girl Scouts.
Support the troops! Support Operation Thin Mint 2007!
