I had the pleasure of attending a community meeting in Newton, Iowa along with my wife, my nine month old son, and my brother.
Before the actual event began I was asked if I would be interested in introducing Congressman Leonard Boswell, and who could say no to that? So I had the opportunity to thank everyone for coming and introduced Congressman Boswell.
Once the event started, John Edwards began talking about his Universal Health Care proposal and mentioned his DVD that was mailed out to 70,000 caucus goers and available at the sign-in table for those who were not going to receive one in the mail.
Edwards is the first candidate to come out with a detailed Universal Health Care plan that has specifics and how he is going to pay for it. That takes courage and the vision to lead this nation that I just don't see in the other major candidates for President.
After talking for about ten minutes about his plan for Universal Health Care, the floor was open for questions about any issues that were on the minds of Iowans. He answered a wide range of questions including on Immigration, Social Security, Iran and North Korea, the Fox News Debate, the cost of college, and Iraq.
Please check the video out at IowaforEdwards.com. John Edwards is stepping it up and people can see he is the voice the middle class and is the person we need to put into the White House!
I am also including some news articles relating to the same event the video is for (the 9 month year old with the T-shirt described in the Des Moines Register and the USA Today is my son):
