VintageCotton.com, unaware their online ads were being placed on www.anncoulter.com until receiving Kossack emails, reacted swiftly over the weekend by quickly removing the banner ad and went one step further. This company actually modified its home page to include a vivid smackdown of Ann Coulter.
This response is a MUST SEE. Take a moment to visit VintageCotton.com's website here.
The folks at Vintage Cotton also responded to several Kossacks with the following message:

Wow, the volume of your emails is overwhelming - we apologize we cannot directly answer them all.
It's really disturbing to be associated with Ann Coulter in any way...
We reviewed all of our third-party advertisers yesterday and made sure there is no way we are still running on anncoulter.com.
On another note - one of our artists has expressed his displeasure with Ann Coulter on our home page: www.vintagecotton.com.
Regards,
VintageCotton.com
Vintage Cotton went even further to acknowledge many Kossacks who sent email at this link on their home page titled What the Hell is this all about?
SUGGESTION FOR THE GOOD FOLKS AT VINTAGE COTTON: Consider advertising on DailyKos. Your company made a lot of friends here this weekend.
UPDATE ON AMAZON.COM
Amazon.com has begun modifying its responses to Kossacks to point out that the placements on Coulter's site are the result of her participation in the Amazon "Associates" program. However, a closer look at the Associates Program could indicate Coulter may be in violation of the program's Operating Agreement. The key excerpt from the Amazon Associate Operating Agreement is shown below:
- Enrollment in the Program
To begin the enrollment process, you will submit a complete Program application via the Amazon.com Site. We will evaluate your application in good faith and will notify you of its acceptance or rejection. We may reject your application if we determine (in our sole discretion) that your site is unsuitable for the Program. Unsuitable sites include, but are not limited to, those that:
.promote sexually explicit materials
.promote violence
.promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
.promote illegal activities
.include "amazon," any other trademark of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates, or variations or misspellings of any of them, in their URLs to the left of the top-level domain name (e.g., ".com", ".net", ".uk", etc.) -- for example, a URL such as "amazon.mydomain.com", "amaozn.com" or "amazonauctions.net" would be unsuitable
otherwise violate intellectual property rights.
By participating in the Program you agree that you will not engage in any such activities. If we reject your application, you are welcome to reapply to the Program at any time. You should also note that if we accept your application and your site is thereafter determined (in our sole discretion) to be unsuitable for the Program, we may terminate this Agreement. Participation in the Program is limited to parties that lawfully can enter into and form contracts under applicable law. For example, minors are not allowed to participate in the Program.

Thanks to your efforts Amazon.com is undoubtedly now aware of customer concerns regarding its relationship with AnnCoulter.com. In a previous diary poll, 90% of 2500 Kossack respondents indicated they are current Amazon customers. Extrapolating, that means of 120,000 DKos registered users, it is reasonable to argue that approximately 108,000 Amazon customers are members of this community.
In fairness to Amazon, reaction time to consumer concerns varies widely among major corporations. Let's monitor Amazon responses to our inquiries for a few days to see if Amazon re-evaluates its Amazon Associates relationship with Coulter based on the terms of its Associates Program operating agreement shown above.
If you receive any updated responses from Amazon in coming days, please post them in the comments section of this diary.
Thanks again to this amazing community for its great effort on this campaign.
