The world has become reliant on - addicted to, if you will - petroleum but is now running out, fueling much of the strife we witness across the globe.
This is the looming energy crisis of or time. And contrary to all the liberal slander of this bold leader, George Bush has a plan to deal decisively with the looming end of petroleum.
Petroleum, of course, is a fossil fuel, known to be the result of vegetation and dinosaurs having died and seeped into the ground where it all got brewed together in huge underground oceans over millions of years.
Bush's plan is as sweeping as it is simplistic: we are running out of fossil fuel, therefore we need more fossils.
Here's the plan: Make the jump
First, some context. Replenishing fossil fuels is hard work and involves thinkin'.
Global warming is, pardon the pun, a hot topic that is just getting hotter around the world. It seems most people - who have no massively profitable corporations to defend - have a very stubborn idea that the planet, for a variety of reasons, is getting warmer.
WASHINGTON - The harmful effects of global warming on daily life are already showing up, and within a couple of decades hundreds of millions of people won't have enough water, top scientists will say next month at a meeting in Belgium.
At the same time, tens of millions of others will be flooded out of their homes each year as the Earth reels from rising temperatures and sea levels, according to portions of a draft of an international scientific report obtained by The Associated Press.
This is distressing to those who grasp the implications of all the scientific studies.
_Hundreds of millions of Africans and tens of millions of Latin Americans who now have water will be short of it in less than 20 years. By 2050, more than 1 billion people in Asia could face water shortages. By 2080, water shortages could threaten 1.1 billion to 3.2 billion people, depending on the level of greenhouse gases that cars and industry spew into the air.
_Death rates for the world's poor from global warming-related illnesses, such as malnutrition and diarrhea, will rise by 2030. Malaria and dengue fever, as well as illnesses from eating contaminated shellfish, are likely to grow.
_Europe's small glaciers will disappear with many of the continent's large glaciers shrinking dramatically by 2050. And half of Europe's plant species could be vulnerable, endangered or extinct by 2100.
_By 2080, between 200 million and 600 million people could be hungry because of global warming's effects.
The earth's temperature will keep rising, the oceans will rise, and there will be stark changes in life as we know it.
George W. Bush, 43rd President of the United States has received substantial criticism for his and his administrations apparent hostility to discussions of greenhouse gasses and global warming.
And to all appearances people would seem to be correct: they did back out of the Kyoto Climate Agreement almost as his first task when taking office several years ago. However, Bush has been concerned about global warming and has taken steps to address it:
"Beginning in June 2001, President Bush has consistently acknowledged climate change is occurring and humans are contributing to the problem," it said, adding excerpts from speeches in 2001 and 2002 as evidence.
"President Bush committed the United States to continued leadership on the issue and since 2001 has dedicated nearly 29 billion dollars to advance climate-related science, technology, international assistance, and incentive programs. This is far more than any other nation."
The reports of Bush Administration officials attempting to gag climate scientists and their findings persists: Environmental activists observe that
the letter coincided with hearings in Congress Wednesday in which experts and politicians accused the Bush administration of repressing public debate over global warming in what one witness branded "a conspiracy of silence."
The hearings were called in the wake of a report last week by the Union of Concerned Scientists and the Government Accountability Project (GAP) which offered evidence of "widespread political interference in federal climate science."
The truth behind the Bush Administration’s odd actions and tremendous secrecy surrounding global warming are part of George Bush's own plan to deal with the Earth's looming energy crisis: the depletion of fossil fuels. Bold vision and clear decision-making are the only hope for correcting the coming changes.
We need more fossils
Yes, there is a method to the madness of our apparent King George: see global warming will do a lot of terrible things.
Bold visionary leaders like Bush do not let the lives of us little people interfere with the Big Picture and his decision, while costing millions of people their lives and destroying much of what we now call Earth, is based on science as well.
Most of the science and implications of global warming are understood by the average person in developed countries, despite efforts to blot out all findings of the science.
And due to the very hostile climate (no pun intended again) which is the American mainstream media, the more distressing implications of global warming are kept secret for fear of causing people to not believe anything science has discovered about it.
It is not well-known that Bush is an expert in fossil fuels. And despite all his "hot air" on how religious he is, he is a Yale-trained historian. There are a variety of theories as to why the dinosaurs became extinct: Bush endorses a lesser-known theory.
Bush knows that dinosaur extinction was due to a volcanic greenhouse effect, often called "the K-T Deccan Traps volcanism-induced carbon cycle perturbation extinction theory". Bush is a secretive adherent to this perspective and is reported to defend it eloquently behind closed doors.
The dinosaurs died out due to a rapid cooling of the Earth average temperature. Big lizards died out, small mammals evolved and took their place. Some dinosaurs have evolved and survived (most of our birds have dinosaurs as distant ancestors).
Global warming, while it will ravage some spots of the globe, will also enrich certain spots such as the Amazon Jungle. This is where the dinosaurs will come from.
As the world become warmer, like it hasn't been for about 60 million years, evolutionary forces will be triggered encouraging the re-evolution of dinosaurs.
As dinosaurs repopulate their decaying carcasses will start the process of refilling the oil oceans currently being depleted.
Oddly, Mr. Bush was unable to give details about any planning for dealing with a world repopulatd by giant carnivores and lizards the size of 747's. There is some concern that the repopulation of dinsaours in close proximity to humans might be a bit difficult. Perhaps there is a Plan B that is also very secret.
In response to Bush's vision, those Democrats..... remain the party of "No". They are so far out of the informational loop, they blame Bush himself for the death of the previous dinosaurs. They envy such a bold plan and can only try to smear it while blaming Bush for the absence of dinosaurs to begin with.
Sandy Berger, National Security Advisor under former President Clinton, says that the Clinton Administration handed over to the Bush Administration in 2001 not only the most ethical administration in the history of the country, but also a complete and fully functioning dinosaur extinction policy.
"The Bush Administration really dropped the ball on this one," said Mr. Berger yesterday on CBS’s Face the Nation. "If President Bush had followed our plan there would be brontosauruses swimming in the Potomac today. But the Bush Administration seems obsessed with the so-called War Against Terror."
Here we see them blaming Bush for the disappearence of the dinosaurs when they were in power long before Bush stepped up to the plate. All they can do is lie and hope to get people off-topic.
Those Clintons....why do they hate America so much? Is there no modern malady for which they are NOT to blame? (Note: The Earth belongs to America. Hurting the Earth is hurting murica.)
Next week I will break the story of another secretive bold Bush move to claim the Sun in the name of America and charge other nations for sunshine, warmth, clothes drying, solar power, and tanning.
