The Victor Gold rollover has been discussed thoroughly here at Daily Kos and other sites. I do not know if his words truly mean anything at this point. Just as the Bush administration has done on other occasions, including this week in which it attacked Matthew Dowd, it will likely attempt to marginalize Gold and then totally ignore the "sweet words of wisdom."
Victor Gold, an apparent Bush insider, who has written glowingly about Bush and Cheney in the past, now casts the two as, "out of touch" (Bush) and "out of control" (Cheney) in his book, Invasion of the Party-Snatchers.
So what? Where were these voices five years ago? Confession may be good for the souls of these men, but it is of no benefit to the country unless they reveal information which has the potential to bring the administration down. Merely changing ones opinion of Cheney from, "a man of gravitas with a quick and easy wit" to "out of control" does little. I want impeachment material.
Query: Do these recent revelations serve any purpose?
