Time for another edition of I F**king Hate (IFH:X). See last week's diary for more information.
For those that are just joining the game, here is how it works: For each IFH:X edition, there is a new topic to discuss or just dis. The topic is usually a pop culture reference as that is my strongest worthless trivia category (that, and I don’t really know much about anything else). You get more points from me if you drag something from the memory hole.
The last couple of weeks it was music oriented, but after watching the beginning of Saturday Night Live, I think I will go with TV as the theme.
These are the TV shows that you just cannot understand how they were ever made or just give you a headache to watch. Maybe they have outlived there creative lifespan. The best thing about these shows are the credits at the end.
Only one rule for tonight: As most "spin-offs" suck, you are limited to only one in your list!
OK, here we go. I Fucking Hate:
After MASH: Why even try? It was just plain bad.
Ren and Stimpy: I just never got it. Booger jokes? Not my thing. It wasn’t all that creative, just outrageous.
Coach: How did this show go nine seasons and receive 17 Emmy Nominations??
24: Just how many bad days can this guy have?
BJ and the Bear: Here is the actual plot summary from IMDB for this winner: "A trucker and his pet monkey travel the highways of America, getting into various adventures and misadventures along the way." Wow! He had both "adventures AND misadventures!"
Crank Yankers: Puppets making crank phone calls. This was beyond stupid.
Caroline in the City: Poor writing, terrible characters and yet it lived for four seasons.
Just about every "Reality Show" ever produced with one exception: Project Runway. OK, so I like that show, so kill me.
