I just now heard on CNN that Senators Byrd and Clinton have presented a bill (?) proposal (?) that the permission given to President Bush to go into Iraq be withdrawn.
Is that possible? I have often wondered why they couldn't do that since the reasons given as argument to support the Iraq invasion have either been accomplished (removal of Saddam Hussein) or proved false. It would seem that false information used as basis for war could be used to nullify any decision based on that information.
I'm sorry this diary is so short, but I have been unable to find details about "taking back" approval for the war. All I heard was the one announcement on CNN about 30 minutes ago (5/3/2007, 3:00 p.m. CDT).
One announcer asked if such a proposal/bill would have any "teeth" or would be symbolic.
