I don't know how many people watch NBC's hit Law & Order, but it regularly 'rips from the headlines' and usually I like it for it's 'follow the clues' mystery solving, but Friday's episode bothered me greatly. Because it seems to have defended Bill O'Reilly's asinine ideas.
If you recall the kidnapping a few months back where a child was found to have been kidnapped both a few months ago and a second child had been held for five years?
the episode this past friday was 'ripped from [that] headline' while twisting the story: the younger boy is found dead, murdered by the older kidnapee. Stockholm Syndrome is bashed )("even if it does exist" is a line used in the show),m the older boy is shown as 'enjoying himself' -- his reason for killing is jealousy at the possibility of being replaced.
Everything Bill O'Reilly claimed about the Real kidnappee: he preferred being there to being with his family, there is no such thing as Stockholm Syndrome, and so on.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised, and this might be a waste of a diary, but its not what I've previously expected of this show.
