Surprised no one has picked up on the Bush administration scandals regarding college loans and the lending companies involved. There is a lot here that mirrors the corrupt and ineffectual way that Administration appointees are infecting our federal bureaucracy and corps of civil servants.

Considering how a college education is the best sure path to an egalitarian society it is so frustrating to see how companies like Nelnet, the RNC's largest contributor, are given extremely preferential and deferential treatment while thousands of families and our federal government just bends over and takes it.
Don't be silent on this issue. We all are either actively saving for our kids' college funds, paying for college right now, paying off our own student loans, or know someone doing one of these activities. How can we let the Bush Administration and these companies run roughshod over the American Dream? Answer: we can't.
