Sometimes, Drudge is useful. While cruising his site, I found an interesting article regarding Ron Paul and his future position in the GOP debates
It seems, that Ron Paul has upset a lot of people by telling the truth about the failure of American Foreign Policy.
"Have you ever read about the reasons they attacked us? They attack us because we've been over there. We've been bombing Iraq for 10 years," Paul said.
Saul Anuzis calls it "out of step"
"I think he would have felt much more comfortable on the stage with the Democrats in what he said last night. And I think that he is a distraction in the Republican primary and he does not represent the base and he does not represent the party," Anuzis said during an RNC state leadership meeting.
And, there you have it. Rational thought is not a Republican virtue. We suspected it, but to hear it coming from the mouth of a GOP State leader...
Base. an interesting word.
In Elizabethan English. If you were "base" you were 'common', menial, low, reprehensible, cowardly, selfish, mean. And, it didn't matter if you Noble or low-born. base was more a behavior and thought than the accidents of parentage.
Yes, the GOP is indeed base.
