...We the people need to take our country back. We need four Linchpin basics - The Rule of Law, Financial Viability, Guaranteed Public Redress, Morality & Fidelity of Leadership. We need to start right now, this moment, and commit to continue until sanity is returned...
How does an immoral war become a moral war? The answer is simple - Propaganda/spin. And certainly we should not forget the enablers and the profiteers. They prop up the spin either through ignorance or because of their personal agenda. The big news nowadays is the debate over whether to "stay the course" or impose "benchmarks". Hear much lately about the war's cost to Iraq? That country has been devastated by a war brought on by lies and deception. Yes the big debate now is who is the most moral - the ones who started the immoral war (Republicans) or the ones who want to end it (Democrats). My what a metamorphosis!
And what has happened to Iraq? Both the Republicans and the Democrats blame them for not being able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again! Just to illustrate what has happened to this innocent people, consider the following: My Uncle Glynn, who at 94 is still very mentally alert, and I, late one cold moonless night this past winter were at a family gathering and stepped outside to admire the brilliant night sky.
What a celestial display of God's handiwork was before us. "Uncle Glynn," I asked, "do you know how many stars the eye can see and perceive?" No, he admitted, but Glynn opined that it had to run into at least a couple of hundred thousand. Close to Half a million I stated, and Uncle Glynn, if you let each star you observe tonight represent one Iraqi child who has died because of the immorality of Bush and his profiteering minions, and the uninformed enablers, you will not be able to see enough stars this night to represent all the dead children of Iraq.
And Uncle Glynn, how do we represent those that will die later of the depleted Uranium munitions that we have rained upon Iraq? This Uranium has a lethal life of thousands of years!" I do believe that at that dark moment I could discern an emerging tear in Glynn's eye as this man who had served in combat thru World War II and saw that carnage was moved by the useless slaughter of innocents.
So good has been the Neo-Con propaganda spewed by their Media enablers, that it is not unusual, in fact it is very common, to hear people of America blame all the Mid-East woes on those no good Middle East terrorists who started this Iraqi war! You've heard it just like I have. "Turn Iraq into a glass parking lot"
I heard this phrase uttered on two separate occasions last week, once by a Church Deacon and later by a Preachers wife (Both Bush supporters). I asked them why? Their answer - "they want to kill us". Now just why would they hate us? All we have done is kill hundreds of thousands of them and ruined their future and their children's future. What has this people done to us to warrant this continuous suffering? And also the American people have paid a heavy price and will continue to do so for generations. So the real question is how could any moral person continue to support the Iraqi war? Even for one more day?
Now why was it we started this war? And why is it that we are implored to continue the carnage? Who has profited from this war? Who will profit if it is continued? The answer is again simple - Those that began to plan it in the 90's - The Neo-Cons. And yes they do covet the oil. And yes they do have major influence over our Governing bodies. It's all about Money, Power, Control. This is why Cindy Sheehan's son had to die and my friend Dr. Porchia's son had to die, and all the other soldiers and Iraqis had to die. So that an immoral presence, a shadow government, if you will, could feed their insatiable appetite for lucre, influence, greed.
We the people need to take our country back. Our Government must be buttressed by four Linchpin basics - The Rule of Law, Financial Viability, Guaranteed Public Redress, Morality & Fidelity of Leadership. We need to start right now, this moment, and commit to continue until sanity is returned to our Government.
