Last Friday, I diaried Hal Turner's threats against Nancy Pelosi as well as members of Congress supporting the immigration bill.
Yesterday, I learned that the justices of the New Jersey Supreme Court have been under increased police protection for the last seven months, after Turner broadcast their home addresses on his radio show.
No quotes around "radio" this time, because I found out something I didn't know from the article, and there may finally be some small action that can be taken.

Apparently, Hal Turner is well versed in the court decisions that protect his right to make others feel threatened.
A hat tip to Politburo for the heads up on this yesterday morning. What with the sturm und drang over the Democratic capitulation, I decided to hold this until today.
After all, it's not exactly time sensitive; this has been going on for seven months.
SEVEN MONTHS.
The justices of the state Supreme Court have been under increased police protection for the last seven months after a self-proclaimed "pro-white" radio host from North Bergen made public their home addresses on his weekly Internet broadcast.
The personal information was released by Hal Turner, a onetime congressional candidate who claims an audience of skinheads, neo-Nazis and Klansmen, during a broadcast hours after the justices ruled in October that gay couples are entitled to form marriage-like civil unions.
Taxing community resources and taking police officers away from more important duties, all because some bigoted asshole has a webstream - and apparently, a radio show - and a bunch of nut-shit followers who dance to his tune.
There's an irony in that stated motivation. An irony indeed.
In 1998 Hannity received an anonymous e-mail linking to an AOL discussion board on which Turner had allegedly confessed to a cocaine problem and alluded to past homosexual trysts. Turner (or someone claiming to be Turner) wrote in an August 4, 1998, Google discussion forum that Hannity called him to clear the air: "Just last week, Sean phoned me at home from his job at FOX News to continue a conversation we'd begun earlier while he was at WABC," Turner wrote. "Sean advised that one of you sensitive souls sent him an e-mail about 'revelations I had made' here on the internet. He told me it was obviously and [sic] attempt to 'poison the water.' " Turner continued, "I told him that I've done things I'm not proud of, and had dark times in my life; and those experiences helped shape the way I live today...the right way. He [Hannity] laughed and commented that he knew the feeling."
Project much, Hal?
Obviously, any such details of his past would be a non-issue, were he not extending his wide arc of hate to include the gay community. Like Ken Mehlman, he's a chicken working for Colonel Sanders.
That said, Turner uses as his shield the vestments of the justices of the Supreme Court of the United States (another irony!) and their decision in this case.
Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444 (1969), was a United States Supreme Court case based on the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It held that government cannot punish inflammatory speech unless it is directed to inciting and likely to incite imminent lawless action.
OK, but if Turner's airing the home addresses of New Jersey supreme Court Justices was not "directed to inciting and likely to incite imminent lawless action", then why was this necessary?
Turner encouraged his listeners to call, write and visit the homes of four of the justices, including the then-chief justice, to show that "they can be gotten to."
The show led to a State Police probe that has yielded no charges. But police departments in the communities where the justices live were told to keep a close watch on their homes because some of their addresses had been released.
And this is not the first time Hal has done this sort of thing. One previous excursion on his part possibly contributed to very real murders:
September 14, 2005: Turner claimed that a previous statement he posted against Federal Judge Joan Lefkow, whose family was murdered this past February by a deranged man reportedly unhappy with a ruling the judge made in his case, may have led to the killing of her family. Discussing the judge who ruled that the "Pledge of Allegiance" is unconstitutional, Turner wrote, "Let me just take this opportunity to remind U.S. District Judge Lawrence Karlton, that I, me, Hal Turner, uttered on this radio show that a ruling that had been made by a different Federal Judge, Judge Joan Humphrey Lefkow, in Chicago...I uttered that her ruling made her worthy of being killed and in March of this year her family was murdered."
Yes, Hal is one cocky sucker, for all that:
Not investigated or contacted by the New Jersey State Police? You'll pardon me, Hal, if I don't take you at your word.
Yes, Hal Turner thinks he is invincible!
Ooo, gee whillikers, Hal. Did I rattle your widdle cage a bit?
------------------- Hal Turner Responds:
Not at all. Your rinky dink little essay on the DailyKos has had zero affect on me. Just like the last two you did.
Sooner or later you're going to figure out that I am beyond your reach.
There are people in the world who are more powerful than government. I am one of them.
The FBI, Secret Service, BATF and the like are all powerless over me.
Your whines to them are amusing, but they really do have more important things to handle than your squealing.
Feel free to keep trying, though. I love it when you repeatedly fail.
Hal Turner

Hal, I ck'd out "Kestrel" fm info on "homepage" tag at end of entry--this guy's real psycho queer, featuring queer SPLC as reference in serious manner. Kestrel is evidently Jew queer related to buddy, SNUFF-FILM afficianado, "Adam Reimer."
"Kestrel" features poll on what to do about Hal Turner, but gives no option for cheering Hal--gee, I feel so excluded.
Why not give out "Kestrel's" e-mail address, so we could investigate this little queer further? Honest elections and death to the Fed. Apollonian

My email address? IT'S ON THE PAGE YOU SAID YOU LOOKED AT, DIPSHIT.
Sheesh.
Jesus.
"There are people in the world who are more powerful than government. I am one of them."
And I thought BUSH had delusional, megalomaniacal issues. For someone who claims to hate him so much, you sure sound like him at times.
And, sorry to disappoint you, Apollonia (how's Prince?) but I am neither Jewish nor gay.
But I am half Mexican. And half white. I guess that makes me...uh, what's the term y'all haters use? "Mud people?" So feel free to bash me on that.
Here's mud in your eye.

In fact, he's so convinced of his invincibility, he's apparently paid people to make people THINK he's not invincible, so he'll get some pity party donations to fund his little hate mill.
Heard about the 7chan hack attacks that "shut Hal down" for a while starting back in December? Well, they may well have been faked:
This "raid", targeted at Hal Turner of Hal Turner Radio, was actually a plan that was devised by Buri-chwan, former 7chan admin, and Hal Turner himself. The details of the plan are that 7chan offered Hal Turner notoriety with the *chan communities [as most of them are filled with white supremacists anyway], and, unknown to us, donations, in exchange for an extra server to ease the pressure on our current, overtaxed servers.
At any rate, let's return to the Star-Ledger piece, specifically, a statement at the end, which also was referenced in the TV interview embedded above:
He said he has "several thousand" people who listen to his show live on his Web site (www.halturnershow.com) every Wednesday from 9 to 11 p.m. and 10,000 more who tune in for archived recordings. He said his show is also carried by 67 "low-power" FM stations.
Emphasis mine.
Having a passing familiarity with the broadcasting industry, I can tell you that this last means one of three things:
- He is a lying sack of shit.
- These stations are pirates and can be triangulated and reported to the FCC.
- These stations are LPFMs that are licensed by the FCC, and their licenses can be challenged.
I challenged Turner to prove that assertion by posting in his haloscans. Predictably, he has not responded.
If these stations can be located, action can - and should - be taken on that front. I defy any licensee to show me how such programming is in the community interest.
Next step?
Suggestions?
I'm all ears.
(Note: If you live in Knoxville, TN, you should know that Hal and company will be darkening your doorstep tomorrow. 3pm at the courthouse.)
