While the rules say "no discussion" I assume people will get to say a few words to Mr. Gore as he signs their book. I intend to ask him to think about in what capacity he could possibly could do more about global warming and the problems facing our political system than as President of the U.S.
I will also be wearing one of these:
http://www.cafepress.com/...
and will sell others at cost outside the event (unless the Chicago Police prevent that). (I will also try to give Mr. Gore one if that is allowed.)
As most DKos readers know by now, at a recent event in D.C., one supporter wrote that when he asked the former VP to think about running for President, Gore said "I am." (http://www.cafepress.com/gore4prez2008.74601521) So all the support Gore is seeing IS having an effect on his thinking.
So if you support Gore for President, or even just think his entry into the race -- forcing the media and other candidates to address "his" issues (i.e., the survival of our planet and American democracy) -- would be a good thing, please come out and let your voice be heard!
Those not within range of this event, please recommend and post comments to let those who are in or near Chicago know how important it is to come. I know Michigan Draft Gore is sending a "carload" of people to this event, so people are coming from far and wide!
