The GOP doesn't think Americans are good enough to run their presidential
race. Perhaps they need to invest more in education???
The H1-B visa program is aimed at providing workers that CANNOT be filled by American jobs. THere are currently 65,000 slots.
THe GOP felt there were no Americans that could run their campaigns in California, so it decided to apply for two slots to run it's California operations, so they hired Ron Christopher Matthews, a Canadian citizen as full-time state deputy political director for the California GOP.This is who will be raising money for the Republicans in California, folks....a Canadian. Matthews was hired by the GOP's California COO (Chief Operations Officer) Michael Kamburski who, get this, is an Australian citizen.
In a very good front-page piece, the San Francisco Chronicle's Carla Marinucci exposes this particularly timely piece of GOP hypocrisy.

Not all Republicans are happy about this:
"There are talented Republicans in California, and the message that (party chair) Ron Nehring is sending is that there's no talent pool here," Hanretty [former GOP operative] said.
Nehring [California Republican Party Chairman] defended his choices by saying Matthews and Kamburowski are highly qualified political professionals who will be an asset to the party -- and dramatize the GOP ideal of welcoming immigrants.
The GOP ideal of welcoming immigrants? Is that a joke???
Nieto [Democratic party activist] argued that the party has painted Latinos "as the brown menace. ... But it's perfectly OK to hire people from outside the country? What does it say about the Republican Party that they import their hired guns?"
What does she mean by this????
