So now people are getting into fights as to whether it is a good idea to toy with supporting a Bloomberg candidacy and whether he is worthy of such support.
Frankly, I think this completely misses the point.
The problem with Bloomberg is not Bloombreg per se (I know little about him and thus couldn't argue one way or the other on his candidacy). The problem is this incescent desire on the part of Americans for a candidate on a white horse to come in and rescue us from the ugliness of "politics as usual".
It's this same desire that drives many beltway media elites to adopt a "pox on both your houses approach" to political reporting.
I mean, how absurd is it to expect a politician to save us from the ugliness of politics?
When will we ever grow up?
