I think this might be a good idea... really...

I think it might be the start of something good.
The fight about the defunding has been so totally consuming that it became a distraction.
So, let's look at the more subtle arts of defunding shall we.
And the reasons why certain offices should be defunded by Congress...
Let's start with the island nation of Dick Cheney.
Since the Vice-President now feels that he can't be touched because he works in both Executive and Legislative, essentially becoming a fourth existential branch of the government, he should be defunded. After all, how can the Congress fund a previously unknown office of the United States Government.
But really, things should be looked at with a hard cold eye.
Take the Department of Justice. Or should it be the Department of "Just Us", now.
I say, until the matter is completely cleared up on whether of not the DOJ has become a purely political office now, perhaps no more funding should go to it.
After all, why should Congress fund a Department that seems to have only one interest group in mind rather than whole of the country's interests, that being... (silly and outmoded I know) Justice.
But while we're at it, let's go for the big one. The Executive Branch.
Now... I'm not saying that the President AKA The Commander in Chief should be defunded... that would hurt the troops if the Decider couldn't decide because his money ran out.
But really now, given the lack of competence in maintaining even a modicum of records, given the increasingly political fire against nearly 70% of the country when it comes to running the country, perhaps the President does not need quite so many... assistants.
Does the office of the First Lady really need that cook she hired recently?
Does the White House Press Secretary seriously need such a large room for talking to the press? Perhaps the front lawn will serve better. After all, they are reporters... perhaps they could provide the necessary equipment to actually hear the man's pronouncements.
By all means, fire the staff. Or let them be paid by say... Halliburton.
For all the country to see...
