On July 4th, many of our fellow actviists are reminding us the what Independence Day represents, asking us to remember:
"Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government."

Please consider joining a nationwide movement to impeach Bush and Cheney and to uphold our constitutional rights by celebrating the inauguration of the Los Angeles Impeachment Center.
Enjoy music and hear speakers including Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Assemblyman Paul Koretz, Byron De Lear, Anthony St. Martin, Larry Everest, Shakeel Syed (Executive Director of the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California), and Jackie Goldberg.
The Impeachment Center (to be open beginning next Saturday, at 8124 West 3rd St., Los Angeles) is a multi-party effort by numerous Los Angeles groups and activists. It will be open every Saturday, from 2 to 4 p.m., serving as a resource to help educate about and facilitate impeachment, through phone banking, letter writing, and other community activities. An immediate goal is to procure resolutions in favor of impeachment from Los Angeles City Council, Santa Monica City Council and CA State Congressional and Assembly Representatives.
