What if Fitz game planned the end-game backwards, from the start? More after the fold.
I had the thought today that Fitz knew from the start that the President was complicit from day one. So, from day one, Fitz knew the President would pardon/commute any and all convictions on these issues. We have all been frustrated about Rove and Cheney not being in the crosshairs. But ask ourselves this, what if Fitz has the goods, has had the goods, but he knows the goods are worthless as long as Bush is in office. What if he doesn't plan on taking them down until after Bush leaves office, after his ability to pardon/commute expires? Then they all do jail time unless a Republican wins the next election?
Two questions. First, the President cannot do pre-emptive pardons/commutations...correct? Second, is there a statute of limitations on these various crimes?
Thoughts?
