Good God almighty. There it is, headline news on all sorts of websites. AP, Yahoo, front page news.
And the article itself is PURE laziness, just Bush's words transcribed with no analysis, nothing from the Democrat's response. The thing that really got my goat that makes me want to howl and kick the dog is that right next to the headlines in the tiny "Other news" box is a story about how almost half the country wants to impeach Bush. Why isn't that a headliner?
UPDATE: Ummmmm
Errrr. After I read Nightprowlkitty's comment, I went back to look and ummmm I think the story has changed (or my brain was fried). It's definitely an article and not just a note directly from the white house. I have the urge to delete this diary, but that would be cowardly. Better to be plain stupid than a stupid coward. Yessirree. I choose to believe it's a different story. It's longer! No really! I think. I hope. Whimper.
I guess one reason to bother going on and on about this damn story is that you can go give it a one star at yahoo. It doesn't allow commentary, but that's probably just as well. It could get ugly fast and that would just be my ranting at AP
I mean why not just put the thing on white house stationary? It's advertising for Bush. It's all about making him look decider-y and leaderish and macho decisive. Ripping, my ass.
I'm so sick of the MSM that I have to use up a whole diary entry just to get the damn rant out of my system. please, tell me where in this article there's some actual facts--other than, yeah, the guy said these words. Just put in a link to whitehouse.gov, dudes.
Good, Jennifer, you got that job as stenographer down, go listen to what other people have to say about the same damn subject and maybe put in their words, too. Like maybe the people he's "ripping" into?
Gawd.
MORE UPDATE-AGENESS: Since there's no point in keeping the diary the way it is, how about looking at the language of headlines? Dissentinator and ticket punch both have interesting comments about it.
Or maybe something about the shifting nature of the internet content. At least there are screen shots to keep some of the lies from the liars who lie. (Alas, I think AP is pretty good about notifying us when they change article content. Or are they?????)
When I do my own blog, I expand and write and go back and replace words and I don't put "update" in every time unless I change my mind and the meaning of the entry...Do any legitimate news organizations do that without telling us?
