Awhile back I decided to no longer post to Daily Kos because I am not a Democrat and this was a Democratic blog. I'm going to overrule myself on this because I enjoy debating politics and issues. Read on to learn a bit more about me.
Unfortunately, there are very few outlets for good political debate. Most blogs and other such forums tend to be very one-sided. I think it is good that we listen to all points of view without partisan blinders before coming to a decision. This place is not that way, but I can accept that. I feel that groupthink is a very large problem here, and hopefully a more independent voice will strengthen the blog.
So I'll attempt to be civil if you can be the same. I'm not going to push any candidates who aren't Democrats, but if asked, I'll gladly explain who I support and why. In short, I'm very progressive, liberal, etc., at the state-level of government, but much more libertarian at the federal level. And just so no one gets the wrong idea about me, the vast majority of candidates I've voted for are Democrats.
