Bush, Bush, Bush.
You were doing better, even to the point of getting a "kudo" from the Herder himself.
Now this.
In a speech to about 300 troops at Charleston Air Force Base today, July 25, Bush used what has been termed "recently declassified information" to make his point that the people we are fighting in Iraq are the same people linked to Osama bin Laden.
In reading the speech, Bush uses the same circuitous logic and doesn't reveal his sources, White House stated he was using the recently declassified materials, but did not provide any substantiation or a method of corroborating Bush's remarks.
I assume they are just using the "Would I lie to you?" theory of information dispersal.
I am reminded of a line from the movie "48 Hours" starring Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy. Nolte is a detective getting a chewing from his boss. Nolte makes a remark and the boss's response is "Just because you say it with conviction don't mean shit to me!"
Interestingly enough, when you click on the transcript of the speech, then try and click on the "Fact Sheet: Al Qaeda in Iraq", it takes you right back to the speech.
Hmmmm.
Are the little lemmings too busy to 1) make sure their links work or 2) behind schedule in making shit up?
