A friend recently as for my "temperatures" on the national races. In general, I have stayed out of the Presidentials, as there are important things happing down-ballot. There is no one who grabs me and incites passion at the national level, in point of fact.
While I sent money to Richardson's exploratory committee, I agree with your assessment, and have been disappointed. While he may be good a governing(or at least have experience), his national campaign reminds me of Harkin's in '91-92. No grassroots activity, and all controlled from the national office, where they appear to not have a clue. My guess is, ceteris paribus, he's out by Iowa, if not before.
I predict Al Franken over Norm Coleman in MN. He's running a serious campaign. And I predict a democrat in California Assembly 15th, since the state party is targeting that with Steve Filson, who I know and think would be a good legislator.
