Okay, so we've had another week of it. A White House political flunky tells the American people that we have no right to know what it is we're paying him to do, a bridge collapses in Minneapolis and the President finds a way to blame it on Democrats holding up spending bills, the attorney general is caught lying to congress and the Vice President says that questioning the administration helps Al Qaeda and ammounts to treason. Want more?
You're going to get it. Our Democratic Senators just entrusted the administration with more wire-tapping powers and they have no intention of impeaching the President and Vice-President for crimes that have appeared on the front pages of the nation's newspapers for the last three months. Oh, and we're still torturing people in violation of the Geneva Conventions and U.S. domestic law.
I'm sick of it. You're sick of it. But we need more of us. We need to spread the message to the huge number of Americans who don't read political blogs or even watch the news. How?
By standing in a public place and holding a sign. A sign that says, "Enough", or a sign that says, "Impeach." I'm not the only one doing this. We are around the country, standing alone and in groups, every Sunday from noon to one p.m.
If you'd like to know where people are meeting in your neck of the woods, you can find out here.
If your hometown isn't listed, you can still join us. Just make a sign and a shirt and stand for an hour where people can see it on Sunday from noon until 1pm. And while you're at it, take a picture of your protest, and send it to us at youngturk.com. We will post your photo. If you're alone and in Red America, don't worry, nobody is going to jump out of their car and beat you up - they're all still in church.
There is no organization or leader to get you out there. It's up to you as an individual. Have you had enough? If so, join us.
The Constitution is in danger, people. We need your help. Please come out on Sunday and up with us - and bring a friend. I plan on dragging my dad out here in LA because he once took the same oath I did - to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
See you tomorrow.
