Beltway conventional wisdom huggers suck. Yet many of them are allowed to pass judgment on anyone who doesn't toe the CW. Now, the experts who are against the CW aren't getting calls from the Beltway media.

And now the fluff...
Early last week, there was a gossip item that made it through the internets. Brad Pitt (Team Obama) and Angelina Jolie (Team Edwards) got into a big fight over the 08 race. OK, not even remotely believable... but what I really, really want to know is (I'm joking here)... who are Shiloh and Zahara supporting? And what does Angelina Jolie really think when it comes to Joe Biden's hair plugs? (Sorry, I know...mean, but couldn't help myself.)
Vanity Fair's 68th Annual International Best Dressed list is out. Michelle Obama (wife of you know who) and French PM Nicolas Sarkozy are on the list. CNN's Anderson Cooper and Darfur activist & actor George Clooney are on the Hall of Fame list. The list is in the September 2007 issue that features Gisele Bundchen on the cover.
Speaking of fashion, how weird is it that Mikhail Gorbachev is the new spokesperson for Louis Vuitton luggage? Yeah, because when I think fashion, I think Mikhail Gorbachev. [/snark]
Something to give any Stephen Colbert fan. It's a best of "The Colbert Report" DVD! To be released 11/6/07.
Also, Colbert dropped by the WH Press Briefing Rm 7/27. Photos and more information on the visit here. Video of his visit:
The Bourne Ultimatum was a great action film (with some political messages in it, too). If you liked the first two in the series, you'll like this one. Matt Damon was on Letterman promoting it recently, and here's the YouTube of his appearance. Funny stuff. The Matthew McConaughey impression is dead on.
Hope all YearlyKos convention goers get home safely.
