I started reading an editorial in today's Plain Dealer. I thought it was going to be positive editorial about YearlyKos and about how the DLC has little influence left. I was angry to find it was all actually an attack progressive ideas and the netroots.
After discussing who was in attendance at YearlyKos and not at the DLC meeting, the attack began:
(The attack is below the fold.)
Net-roots activists like their politics undiluted by moderation or pragmatism.
...of course, no one here ever has well thought out ideas that represent the views of most Americans, oh wait, the ideas of universal health care and raising taxes on the rich are held by a majority of Americans
[The netroots] have forced Pelosi and Reid into a succession of failed anti-war measures that have demolished Congress' approval ratings.
...yep, the American people hate anti-war measures, oh wait again, most Americans are against the war in Iraq
Unless the presidential candidates have more backbone, they risk being pushed into a corner that could help resuscitate the dispirited GOP.
C'mon! Don't all of you see that we are helping the Republicans! You have taken away the backbone of the candidates.
What a frickin' joke.
